I always do one trip, but I’m not buying much. Usually one (and never more than three) paper bags, or eighty-zillion plastic ones, but only because the grocery store I go to does this shit:
I should really unpack the stuff that’s been in my reusuable bag since my move (in 2014... ) and use that.

When I lived in a second floor apartment this was 100% true for me. I'm currently renting a house with a garage, and the door in that garage opens straight to the kitchen. So I don't mind making multiple trips anymore because it's like a 10 foot journey.

Grab the absolute maximum amount of bags you can lift and move within any sort of reason, somehow still have to make a second trip because of that damn bag of potatoes.

Hwha, if I was feeling mean I'd let her walk back out to the car only to find it locked (8 or so years ago, she knows better now)

Ha, we’re the opposite, my wife always trys to take more than she can carry even though the car is parked 5 feet from the kitchen door.
